How We Work

Straightforward court construction, from first question to final walkthrough

Most property owners hit the same wall: unclear costs, drainage questions, and no idea what the site actually needs.

San Diego County Sports Courts is an enquiry service for sports court construction across the county. We take the enquiry and schedule the on-site work. Tell us the site and the sport, backyard pickleball, HOA basketball, school multi-sport, or a worn court that needs resurfacing, and we schedule a visit to look at the ground.

Every enquiry starts with an in-person site evaluation. It covers drainage, grading, and sub-base conditions before anything is scoped. San Diego County’s range of conditions matters here: canyon lots need careful grading, coastal sites deal with marine-layer moisture, and inland courts face heat that affects cure intervals for acrylic coatings. None of that can be judged remotely.

Once the site is assessed, you receive a written estimate that breaks out each part of the scope as a separate line item: sub-base compaction, concrete or asphalt base, acrylic color coating, regulation line marking, fencing, and lighting where required. No bundled totals, no vague allowances. You see exactly what is included before anything is booked.

After the build is complete, a final walkthrough is carried out before the job is signed off. Surface slope, line marking dimensions, fencing alignment, and any outstanding items are checked on site. Nothing is left open. That walkthrough is the last step of every project, whether it is a new backyard court or a full resurfacing of an existing facility.

What to expect when you enquire

  • Do you build the court yourselves?

    No. We are an enquiry service. We schedule the on-site evaluation and construction. Whoever visits your site does the physical work. We handle the coordination and make sure the full scope is in writing before anything is booked.

  • What does the on-site evaluation cover?

    The site assessment covers ground conditions, drainage slope, available space, and any grading needed. That information drives the written estimate, so nothing is priced blind. Sub-base depth, drainage provision, and surface slope are all reviewed at this stage.

  • What if I delay resurfacing a worn court?

    A cracked or eroded base will keep pushing damage through any new surface layer applied on top of it. Delaying resurfacing typically means the base deteriorates further, which increases the scope and cost of repair when you do act.

  • Which court types do you cover?

    Pickleball, basketball, tennis, and multi-sport courts for backyard, HOA, school, and commercial sites. We also arrange resurfacing and repair for existing courts that are worn, cracked, or no longer meet regulation dimensions.

  • Does the estimate cover everything, or just the surface?

    The itemised estimate covers the full build scope: base preparation, sub-base compaction, drainage provision, acrylic color coating, fencing, lighting, and regulation line marking. Each element appears as a separate line item so you can see the full picture before committing.

  • Do you serve all of San Diego County?

    Yes. We schedule site assessments across San Diego County, including coastal communities, inland areas, and canyon lots that require additional grading or drainage work.
